Identity theft and fraud are rapidly growing problems in our increasingly web-based
economy, and they are costing companies millions every year. A key piece of data
required in virtually every credit-related transaction, including mortgage processing,
is the consumer's unique Social Security Number (SSN). Until recently, this was
a labor intensive, time-consuming manual process involving a variety of handwritten

In just the first three weeks of using the new system, Sysdome calculate that
their productivity has increased by 10% to 15%. They were also able to cut the staff
needed to run the process from 6 to 8 people down to just two. It’s estimated that
SSN Direct will save Sysdome in excess of $100,000 in staffing costs this year alone
by enabling the redeployment of those freed up resources.
